Moodboard Magic: Liubasha Rose of Rose Ink Workshop

Written by Kirsten Nicholas | Apr 24, 2017 1:21:05 AM

Amazing interiors don’t appear out of thin air. Interior design is a process. Spaces are dreamt, cultivated, and curated before they are actually created. Visionary spaces spring from a thought, a word, an image, or a theme. Designers draw inspiration from daily life compiling their ideas on mood boards - both physical and digital.

We believe the creative brainstorming period is an important part of the design process that should be celebrated. So we’re drawing attention to the beautifully iterative, sometimes chaotic, conception phase by asking you to share your #MoodboardMagic.

Did your mood board stem from an artwork you saw, a place you visited, or a book you read? Or maybe you were inspired by a rich new textile color or an eye-catching wall paper pattern. Wherever your inspiration started and however it has transformed we want to see your creative musings.

We’re partnering with award winning interior designer Liubasha Rose for a peek inside her creative planning phase. Over the next few days, we’ll be exploring where her designs for the stunning Riviera Palm Springs originated. She'll be taking over our Instagram this week to give us a window inside the inspiration phase for this noted new project. Follow along @indiewalls and her design firm @roseinkworkshopto catch a glimpse of her creative planning phase and ogle the gorgeous interiors of RPS.

Interested in sharing your mood boards and inspiration? We'd love to see them. Post your inspirational images, mood boards, sketches, etc. with us on Instagram by including #MoodboardMagic in your comment. We’ll repost our favorites on our social media.
